A Cape Seal is the combination of a Chip Seal and a Slurry Seal application. For this project a High Performance ¼” Chip Seal was selected (verses a Penn DOT Bituminous Seal Coat) to allow for a higher application rate of asphalt emulsion and the ability to be sweep the surface within 24 hours.

- Less than half the cost of a hot mix overlay
- Perfect application for curbed Residential Streets
- Sealing Strength of a Chip Seal with the Texture of a Slurry Seal
- Significantly reduces cracking when compared to placing a slurry or micro-surfacing on its own
