SERVICES:
- Installed 2” depth CP-2 Bituminous Binder Course with a Double Chip Seal on Kromer Road from Keller Road to Jacobsburg Road.
PROCESS:
- CP-2 Bituminous Binder Course
Re-profile roadway by paving # 57 aggregate at a 2 inch depth followed by a penetration of “soft” asphalt emulsion choked with # 8 aggregate. Typically a CP-2 Bituminous Binder Course is then followed by a Double Chip Seal which seals the Binder and provides an inexpensive and flexible wearing surface.

- Requires very little preparation
- Able to be placed on roads where the only other option would be total reconstruction
